As every year on the occasion of the World Bulk Wines Exhibition (the most important bulk wine show in the world, which takes place in Amsterdam) was held the prestigious “International Bulk Wine Competition” which rewards the best bulk wines across the globe, according to the rules marked by the World Wine Organization and the International Union of Winemakers.
The big news of this year’s contest is that a bulk wine from one of our customers, the Valencian winery Mamerto de la Vara (next year will celebrate its 75th anniversary), has been awarded with the Grand Golden Medal, the highest honor that can obtain a bulk wine internationally.
The awarded product, named “Dark Sweet Liquorwine“, is a sweet wine made from grapes of the Moscatel de Alexandria variety noted for presenting a pleasant and intense bouquet, balanced acidity and harmony of hues. The score was a 96 out of 100.
